ACT and Mindfulness Resources

Here are a number of resources to help you learn about Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness.  Some of the websites provide information about ACT theory while others provide guided meditations and other exercises to help you become more aware of the present moment (mindfulness). In addition, there are a number of phone apps listed which allow you to take your ACT practice on the go. The videos help illustrate some of the ACT concepts such as the ‘the choice point’ and ‘the struggle switch’. There is also a list of self-help books in relation to ACT and its application to various situations (e.g., depression, anxiety, trauma, pain, relationships, low confidence). Finally, a list of phone helplines is also provided.
